Putting a Bound Policy In Force
Once a bound policy is put in force, all binders must be closed. Closing the binders will remove them from the HOME > BINDER LOG screen.
To Change a Bound Status to In Force
- On the Utility menu, click HOME.
- On the Home menu, click BINDER LOG. Use the search filters on the binder log tab to find the appropriate policies.
- Click the Details
icon next to the appropriate binder. The underwriting tab is displayed.
- On the Navigation Toolbar, click In Force. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.
- In the confirmation dialog box, click OK to confirm that all binders can be closed and the policy can be placed in force. An Action Items dialog box is displayed. A new action may be added if necessary.
Note: A bound
policy may also be placed in force by selecting the policy from the policy
summary screen and selecting In Force.
Once a policy is in force it can only be edited from the servicing
screen.
