Putting a Bound Policy In Force

Once a bound policy is put in force, all binders must be closed. Closing the binders will remove them from the HOME > BINDER LOG screen.

To Change a Bound Status to In Force

  1. On the Utility menu, click HOME.
  2. On the Home menu, click BINDER LOG. Use the search filters on the binder log tab to find the appropriate policies.
  3. Click the Details icon next to the appropriate binder. The underwriting tab is displayed.

  1. On the Navigation Toolbar, click In Force. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  1. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK to confirm that all binders can be closed and the policy can be placed in force. An Action Items dialog box is displayed. A new action may be added if necessary.

Note: A bound policy may also be placed in force by selecting the policy from the policy summary screen and selecting In Force. Once a policy is in force it can only be edited from the servicing screen.
