Remarketing a Policy
Policies may be remarketed at any time, although prior to renewal is
standard. Remarketing
a policy at renewal allows the agency the flexibility of obtaining various
quotes from carriers for their clients.
Tip: In the majority of marketing efforts, specifically in the commercial insurance arena, multiple marketing applications are submitted to numerous carriers for a single client. The Mass Marketing process can be used as a simple means of generating multiple marketing records for multiple carriers.
To Remarket a Policy
- On the ,
click SEARCH.
- Click the Details icon of the appropriate client.
- On the ,
click SERVICING.
- Select Marketing > Existing line of business.
- Select Refresh form prefills to update the associated forms with current information.
- Select Refresh assignment to create the marketing policy with both the selected policy's assignment as well as the primary client assignment. The client assignment will then become the primary assignment on the policy. If Refresh assignment is not selected, the policy assignment only will be copied to the new marketing policy.
- Select the policy to
remarket. To search for specific policies, including
policies previously sent to history,
click [Show] to view the search
filter screen. If
multiple policies are being selected, the policies will be grouped as
if they are a package policy. This
feature allows applications to be bundled so they can all be sent to the
carrier at one time. The
policy mode always reflects New. If
a marketing version of the policy is selected as the renewal the in force
mode will reflect Renew.
- Click Create Marketing. The marketing > underwriting
screen is displayed.
- Select
the Issuing and Billing carrier, edit the policy term dates if needed
and click the Save Changes link on the Navigation Toolbar. Review
the application for accuracy and make any necessary modifications. (See
the Working with Forms section of help for assistance in navigating the
forms).
- To remarket to another
carrier repeat steps 1-8. This
process is necessary to capture statistical data and separate application
information for each carrier.
Tip: Use
the Home > Marketing page to compare quotes or to determine if each carrier’s
quote has been received.
